Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, well-ventilated surface.

  1. Connect to TV: Use HDMI cable (recommended) to HDMI OUT on player and HDMI IN on TV.
  2. Connect to network: Use Ethernet cable to ETHERNET port, or use built-in Wi-Fi.
  3. Connect audio system: Use COAXIAL OUT or HDMI for digital audio to AV receiver.
  4. Plug into AC power outlet.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block vents. Use correct power cord.

First-Time Setup

Power on player and TV; follow on-screen setup guide.

  1. Select language: Choose menu language (default ENGLISH).
  2. Set display resolution: Auto or manual (1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p).
  3. Connect to network: Select wired or wireless, enter password if required.
  4. Register device: Optional registration for Sony services.

Playing Disc Media

Supports Blu-ray, DVD, CD.

  1. Insert disc: Press OPEN/CLOSE, place disc label-up, close tray.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; use TOP MENU or POP-UP MENU for disc features.
  3. Navigate: Use arrow keys and ENTER; skip chapters with PREV/NEXT.
  4. Search: Press SEARCH or use left/right arrows for fast-forward/rewind.
  5. Audio/Subtitle: Press AUDIO or SUBTITLE during playback to change.
  6. Angle: Press ANGLE if multiple angles available.
  7. Resume: Some discs resume from stop point.

WARNING! Do not touch disc surface; hold by edges. Do not use damaged discs.

Network & Streaming

Connect to internet for streaming apps and BD-Live features.

  1. Ensure network connection is active.
  2. Press HOME, select desired app (Netflix, YouTube, etc.).
  3. Sign in with account credentials (first time only).
  4. Use arrow keys and ENTER to browse and play content.

BD-Live: Requires USB flash drive (1GB+) inserted in USB port for extra content.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug from power before cleaning. Wipe exterior with soft, dry cloth. Clean disc lens only with approved lens cleaner if needed.

CAUTION! Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. Avoid moisture inside unit.
