Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, well-ventilated surface.

  1. Connect to TV: Use included HDMI cable to HDMI OUT on player and HDMI IN on TV.
  2. Connect to audio system: Use optical cable (not included) to DIGITAL AUDIO OUT (OPTICAL) port.
  3. Connect to network: Use Ethernet cable or set up Wi-Fi in settings.
  4. Connect power cord to AC IN terminal and wall outlet.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block vents. Use correct voltage (120V AC).

First-Time Setup

Power on player and TV; follow on-screen setup guide.

  1. Select Language: Choose menu language (ENGLISH default).
  2. Connect to Internet: Select network (Wi-Fi or wired) and enter password if required.

Connecting Devices

TV: HDMI (recommended) or Component/Composite. Audio System: HDMI ARC, Optical, or Coaxial. Network: Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

  1. Turn off all devices before connecting cables.
  2. For best quality, use HDMI cable for video and audio.
  3. Select correct input on TV (e.g., HDMI 1).
  4. Use BRAVIA Sync to control multiple Sony devices with one remote.

Tip: Label cables for easy identification.

Playing Disc Media

Supports Blu-ray, DVD, CD, SACD.

  1. Insert disc: Press OPEN/CLOSE, place disc label side up.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; use TOP MENU or POP-UP MENU for disc features.
  3. Navigate: Use arrow buttons and ENTER to select chapters/titles.
  4. Stop: Press STOP; resume later with PLAY if resume feature is enabled.
  5. Search: Use SKIP or SCROLL during playback.

Connect to Internet for streaming apps and software updates.

  1. Press HOME, go to [Network] > [Network Settings] to set up connection.
  2. Access [Applications] from Home Menu to launch Netflix, YouTube, etc.
  3. Sign in to your accounts for personalized content.
  4. Enable [Auto Update] in [System Settings] to keep firmware current.

Note: Streaming quality depends on internet speed. Requires separate subscription for paid services.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug from AC outlet before cleaning. Wipe cabinet with soft, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, dampen cloth with water; do not use solvents.
