Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a stable, level surface with adequate ventilation.

First-Time Setup

Power on the player; the initial setup screen may appear.

Connecting to Your System

Video: Use highest quality connection available (Component > S-Video > Composite). Audio: Digital connection recommended for surround sound.

  1. Turn off all equipment before making connections.
  2. Connect video cables from player outputs to corresponding TV/receiver inputs.
  3. Connect audio cables. For surround sound, use the optical or coaxial digital output.
  4. Power on equipment and select the correct input source on your TV/receiver.

Tip: For best picture quality with an HDTV, use the component video outputs and enable Progressive Scan in the setup menu.

Playing Discs

Supports DVD-Video, Video CD, Audio CD, CD-R/RW (MP3/JPEG).

  1. Load Discs: Press OPEN/CLOSE, place discs on trays, press OPEN/CLOSE again to close.
  2. Select Disc: Press the corresponding DISC NUMBER button (1-5) on front panel or remote.
  3. Play: Press PLAY. Use SKIP/SEARCH to navigate.
  4. Stop: Press STOP. The player remembers the stop point (Last Memory).
  5. Eject: Press OPEN/CLOSE. To eject a specific disc, press its DISC NUMBER then OPEN/CLOSE.
  6. Program Play: Use PROGRAM button to create a custom play sequence from multiple discs.

WARNING! Do not move the player while discs are spinning. Wait for operation to complete.

Advanced Playback Features

Zoom: Press ZOOM during playback to magnify picture (2x, 4x). Use arrow buttons to pan. Angle: If a disc contains multiple angles, press ANGLE to switch. Audio/Subtitle: Press AUDIO or SUBTITLE to select available tracks. A-B Repeat: Set start (A) and end (B) points to repeat a specific section.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug the player before cleaning. Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Clean the lens only with a specialized CD/DVD lens cleaning disc if necessary.

CAUTION! Never use solvents, benzene, or abrasive cleaners. Do not expose to direct sunlight or high humidity.
