Installation & Setup

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface with adequate ventilation.

  1. Connect video output: Use component cables for best quality (Y, Pb, Pr) to compatible TV.
  2. Connect audio: Use analog stereo cables to amplifier, or digital coaxial/optical for surround sound.
  3. Connect control: RS-232C port for custom installation systems (optional).
  4. Plug into AC power (120V, 60Hz).
  5. Turn on player and TV; select correct input source on TV.

WARNING! Unit is heavy (approx. 40 lbs); use two people for lifting and placement. Ensure proper ventilation around unit.

Remote Control Operation

Remote Functions: POWER, Numeric buttons, OPEN/CLOSE, PLAY, STOP, PAUSE, SKIP, SEARCH, MENU, DISPLAY, AUDIO, SUBTITLE, ANGLE, REPEAT, RANDOM, PROGRAM, SLEEP.

Use remote by pointing at sensor on front panel. Replace batteries (AAA × 2) when weak.

Loading and Managing Discs

  1. Press OPEN/CLOSE to open disc drawer.
  2. Place disc in tray with label facing up.
  3. Press OPEN/CLOSE to close drawer; player automatically reads disc and assigns number.
  4. To load multiple discs: Repeat steps 1-3; player numbers discs sequentially.
  5. Remove disc: Open drawer, remove disc, close drawer.

CAUTION! Do not force drawer open/closed. Do not place more than one disc per slot. Do not touch disc surface.

Basic Playback Functions

  1. Select disc: Use DISC SKIP or numeric keys to choose disc number.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; player starts from beginning or last stopped position.
  3. Pause: Press PAUSE; press again to resume.
  4. Stop: Press STOP; press twice to clear resume memory.
  5. Skip tracks/chapters: Press SKIP (forward/back).
  6. Search: Press and hold SEARCH (forward/back) for high-speed scan.
  7. Display: Press DISPLAY to show disc info, time, audio format.

Advanced Playback & Settings

Menu Navigation: Press MENU to access setup options.

Video Settings: Output resolution (480i, 480p), screen format (16:9, 4:3).

Audio Settings: Digital output (PCM, Bitstream), Dynamic Range Compression, SACD output mode.

Playback Modes: Repeat (track, disc, all), Random (disc, all), Program play (up to 32 tracks).

Parental Control: Set level (1-8) with password in menu.

Language: Set menu, audio, subtitle languages.

System Connections

To TV: Use component cables (preferred) or S-Video/composite.

To Audio System: Use digital coaxial/optical for surround sound, or analog stereo cables.

To Control System: Connect RS-232C to control system for integration.

Tip: Turn off all components before making connections. Use high-quality cables for best performance.

Maintenance & Care
