Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place the player on a stable, level surface near your TV and audio system.

  1. Connect to TV: Use HDMI cable (recommended) or Component/Composite video cables.
  2. Connect to Audio System: Use optical digital cable or analog audio cables (L/R).
  3. Plug the AC power cord into a wall outlet.
  4. Insert two AAA batteries into the remote control.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block vents on the sides or rear. Use the supplied power cord.

First-Time Setup

Power on the player and your TV/Audio system. Follow initial setup prompts if displayed.

  1. Select Language: Use the SETUP menu to set the on-screen display language.
  2. Configure Video Output: In SETUP, select the appropriate video output (HDMI, Component, etc.) to match your TV connection.
  3. Set Audio Options: Configure digital audio output format (PCM or Bitstream) based on your audio system.

Connecting to Your TV and Audio System

For best quality, use an HDMI connection. For older systems, use Component or Composite video with corresponding audio.

  1. Turn off all equipment before making connections.
  2. Connect video cable(s) from player output to corresponding TV input.
  3. Connect audio cable(s) from player output to audio system or TV input.
  4. Turn on equipment and select the correct input source on your TV and audio system.

Tip: If using HDMI, a single cable carries both video and audio signals to a compatible TV. For surround sound, connect the optical digital output to your AV receiver.

Playing Discs

Supports DVD-Video, audio CDs, MP3 CDs, and JPEG photo CDs.

  1. Insert disc: Press OPEN/CLOSE, place disc label-side up in the tray, press OPEN/CLOSE again to close.
  2. Play: Press PLAY. For DVDs, the main menu may appear—use arrow keys and ENTER to navigate.
  3. Navigate: Use PREV/NEXT to skip chapters/tracks. Use SEARCH (<< or >>) for fast forward/rewind.
  4. Stop: Press STOP once to pause playback (resume possible); press twice to clear resume memory.
  5. Eject: Press OPEN/CLOSE. Do not force the tray.

WARNING! Do not use damaged, warped, or irregularly shaped discs. Do not touch the disc surface.

Advanced Playback Features

Angle: Press ANGLE during playback of multi-angle DVDs. Audio: Press AUDIO to select alternate audio tracks or languages. Subtitle: Press SUBTITLE to turn subtitles on/off or select language. Zoom: Press ZOOM to magnify a section of the picture. Repeat: Press REPEAT to repeat a title, chapter, track, or disc. Program Play: Create a custom play sequence for CDs or MP3s.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug the player from the AC outlet before cleaning. Clean the cabinet with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, use a cloth slightly dampened with water. Do not use solvents.

CAUTION! Never use benzene, thinner, or other chemicals. Do not allow liquids or metal objects to enter the unit.
