Installation

First-Time Setup

Connecting Devices

Video: Connect to TV via Component (best quality), S-Video, or Composite. Audio: Connect to AV receiver via Digital Optical/Coaxial, or to TV via Analog stereo.

  1. Ensure all devices are powered off.
  2. Match cable colors to connectors (Red/Green/Blue for Component Video; Red/White for Audio).
  3. On your TV, select the correct input source (e.g., Video 1, Component).
  4. On your audio receiver, select the corresponding digital input.

Tip: For optimal Progressive Scan picture, use high-quality Component Video cables and ensure your TV supports 480p input.

Playing Disc Media

Supports DVD-Video, audio CDs, and MP3 CDs.

  1. Insert disc: Press OPEN/CLOSE, place disc label-side up, press OPEN/CLOSE again to close.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; some discs may display a menu—use arrow keys and ENTER to navigate.
  3. Navigate: Use PREV/NEXT to skip chapters/tracks; use number keys for direct access.
  4. Special Functions: Press AUDIO to change audio track; SUBTITLE for subtitles; ANGLE for different camera angles (if available).

WARNING! Do not move the player while a disc is spinning. Do not use damaged or irregularly shaped discs.

Subtitle Display: Enable/select via SUBTITLE button. Audio Description: Available on some discs via the AUDIO button. Parental Control: Set rating level (G, PG, PG-13, R, etc.) in the SETUP menu using a 4-digit password.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the player from the AC outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the cabinet. For the lens, use a commercially available CD/DVD lens cleaning disc if necessary.

CAUTION! Never use solvents such as benzene or thinner. Do not allow liquid or small objects to enter the unit through the disc slot or vents.
