Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on a stable, level surface near your TV and audio system.

  1. Connect to TV: Use the provided composite AV cables (yellow video, red/white audio) or optional component/S-Video cables for better quality.
  2. Connect to Audio System: Use the digital audio output (coaxial or optical) for Dolby Digital/DTS sound.
  3. Plug the power cord into a standard AC outlet.
  4. Ensure all connections are secure and correct.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block vents. Use the supplied power cord only.

First-Time Setup

Power on the player and TV; follow on-screen prompts if available.

  1. Set TV Type: In the SETUP menu, select TV TYPE (4:3 or 16:9) to match your television.
  2. Set Progressive Scan: Enable PROGRESSIVE SCAN if your TV supports it for optimal picture quality.
  3. Configure Audio: In AUDIO SETTINGS, select the appropriate output (PCM, Bitstream) for your audio system.
  4. Set Language: In the SETUP menu, select your preferred menu and disc playback language.

Connecting Devices

TV: Use composite, S-Video, or component video cables. Audio System: Use digital coaxial/optical or analog stereo cables.

  1. Turn off all devices before making connections.
  2. Match cable colors to corresponding jacks (Yellow=Video, Red=Right Audio, White=Left Audio).
  3. For component video, connect Green (Y), Blue (Pb), and Red (Pr) to matching TV inputs.
  4. Select the correct input source on your TV and audio receiver.

Tip: For best picture quality, use component video cables and enable Progressive Scan.

Playing Media

Supports DVD-Video, CD-DA, and MP3 CDs.

  1. Insert disc: Press OPEN/CLOSE, place disc label-side up in the tray, press OPEN/CLOSE again.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; use SKIP or numeric buttons to select title/chapter/track.
  3. Stop: Press STOP once for pause memory, twice for complete stop.
  4. Search: Use SEARCH or SCROLL during playback to fast-forward/reverse.
  5. Repeat: Press REPEAT to repeat a title, chapter, track, or A-B segment.
  6. Zoom: Press ZOOM during playback to magnify a section of the screen.
  7. Slow Motion: Press SLOW during pause for frame-by-frame advance.
  8. Last Memory: Player remembers stop point and can resume playback (for most DVDs).

WARNING! Do not move the player during disc playback. Do not use damaged or irregularly shaped discs.

Accessibility Features

Subtitle Control: Press SUBTITLE during playback to select available languages or turn off. Audio Track: Press AUDIO during playback to select alternate soundtracks or languages. Parental Control: Set a restriction level (G, PG, PG-13, R, etc.) in the SETUP menu to block playback of higher-rated content.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the player from the AC outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the cabinet. For stubborn stains, use a cloth slightly dampened with water. Do not use solvents such as benzene or thinner.

CAUTION! Never spray cleaning fluid directly onto the unit. Do not allow liquid to enter the ventilation slots or disc tray.
