Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Connect to TV: Use component video cables (Y, Pb, Pr) for best quality, or composite video (yellow).
  2. Connect audio: Use optical digital cable to AV receiver, or analog audio cables (red/white) to TV/amplifier.
  3. Connect AC power cord to wall outlet.
  4. Ensure all connections are secure before powering on.

WARNING! Do not place unit on soft surfaces that may block ventilation. Allow adequate space for airflow.

First-Time Setup

Power on player and TV; select correct input source on TV.

  1. Initial settings: Press SETUP on remote to access on-screen menu.
  2. Set language: Choose menu language (English, Spanish, French).
  3. TV type: Select TV shape (4:3 or 16:9) and output format (Interlace or Progressive).
  4. Audio settings: Configure digital output (PCM or Bitstream), dynamic range, etc.

Setup Menu: Language, Display, Audio, Parental Lock, Preference. Audio: Output (PCM/Bitstream), Dynamic Range Compressor, Downmix. Video: TV Type, Progressive Scan, Black Level. Preference: Angle Mark, Parental Control (default password 0000).

Connecting Devices

TV: Component video (recommended) or composite/S-Video. Audio System: Optical digital or analog audio.

  1. Turn off all devices before connecting.
  2. Match cable colors to jacks (red/white/green/blue/red).
  3. Select correct input on TV (e.g., Component, Video 1).
  4. For digital audio, set player's audio output to match receiver capability.

Tip: Use high-quality cables for best performance. Keep cables away from power cords.

Playing Media

Supports DVD-Video, Video CD, audio CD, MP3, JPEG.

  1. Insert disc: Press OPEN/CLOSE, place disc label side up.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; use SKIP or numeric buttons for chapters/tracks.
  3. Stop: Press STOP once for pause, twice to clear resume memory.
  4. Search: Use forward/reverse during playback.
  5. Slow motion: Press SLOW during pause.
  6. Zoom: Press ZOOM repeatedly for 2x, 4x, normal.
  7. Angle: Press ANGLE if multiple angles available.
  8. Repeat: Press REPEAT for chapter/title/track/A-B repeat.
  9. Display: Press DISPLAY for playback information.

WARNING! Do not move player during disc operation. Do not use damaged or irregular discs.

Accessibility Features

Subtitle: Select via SUBTITLE button; multiple languages available. Audio Track: Select via AUDIO button. Parental Control: Set level via Setup menu (1-8, with 1 most restrictive).

Care & Cleaning
