Installation

Unpack and inspect all contents. Place the player on a stable, level surface near your TV.

  1. Connect to TV: Use HDMI cable for best quality, or Component/Composite video cables.
  2. Connect to Audio System: Use digital coaxial cable to AV receiver, or stereo RCA cables directly to TV.
  3. Plug the AC power cord into a wall outlet.
  4. Insert two R6 (size AA) batteries into the remote control.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block vents on the sides or rear of the unit.

First-Time Setup

Power on the player and your TV. Follow initial setup prompts if displayed.

  1. Select Language: Use the SETUP menu to choose the on-screen display language.
  2. Set TV Type: Configure the video output format (e.g., 16:9, 4:3) to match your TV.
  3. Configure Audio: Set digital audio output (PCM or Bitstream) based on your audio system.

Connecting to Your TV/Audio System

For optimal performance, use an HDMI connection. For older equipment, use Component or Composite video.

  1. Turn off all equipment before making connections.
  2. Connect video cable(s) from player output to corresponding TV input.
  3. Connect audio cable(s) from player to TV or audio receiver.
  4. Power on equipment and select the correct input source on your TV (e.g., HDMI 1).

Tip: Use high-speed HDMI cables for 1080p upscaling. Ensure cables are firmly seated.

Playing Discs

Supports DVD-Video, audio CDs, and MP3 CDs.

  1. Load Disc: Press OPEN/CLOSE, place disc label-side up in the tray, press OPEN/CLOSE again.
  2. Start Playback: Press PLAY. Use the disc's menu or press TITLE/MENU.
  3. Navigate: Use PREV/NEXT to skip chapters/tracks. Use arrow keys and ENTER in menus.
  4. Special Functions: Press AUDIO to change soundtrack; SUBTITLE for subtitles; ZOOM to magnify picture.
  5. Resume Play: Press PLAY after STOP to resume from last stop point (if disc supports it).
  6. Repeat: Press REPEAT to repeat a title, chapter, track, or disc.

WARNING! Do not move the player while a disc is spinning. Do not use damaged or irregularly shaped discs.

Parental Controls & Settings

Parental Control: Restrict playback of DVDs based on rating (e.g., G, PG, R). Access via SETUP > Parental Control. Default password is often 0000. Change it for security. Other Settings: Customize HDMI output resolution, enable Quick Start mode, set Dynamic Range Compression (DRC) for late-night viewing.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug the player from the wall outlet before cleaning. Wipe the cabinet with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, use a cloth slightly dampened with water. Never use solvents such as benzene or thinner.

CAUTION! Do not allow liquids or metal objects to enter the unit. Keep the disc tray and ventilation openings free of dust.
