Initial Setup & Battery Installation

Power on the remote by installing batteries.

  1. Open battery compartment: Slide cover on back of remote.
  2. Insert batteries: Place two AAA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close compartment: Secure cover until it clicks.
  4. Test remote: Point at device and press any button; LED should flash.

Programming the Remote

Two methods: Auto-search (recommended) or Direct Code Entry.

  1. Auto-search (for TV):
    • Turn on TV manually.
    • Press and hold TV button until LED stays on.
    • Press POWER repeatedly until TV turns off.
    • Press OK to save code.
  2. Direct Code Entry:
    • Find 3-digit code for your device in code list (see manual appendix).
    • Press and hold device button (e.g., DVD) until LED stays on.
    • Enter 3-digit code using numeric keypad.
    • LED blinks twice to confirm.
  3. Test remote: Press POWER and other buttons to verify control.

Tip: If code doesn’t work, try auto-search or next code from list for same brand.

Operating Your Devices

Switch control between devices by pressing corresponding device button (TV, DVD, etc.).

  1. Control TV: Press TV button, then use navigation, volume, channel keys.
  2. Control DVD/Blu-ray: Press DVD button, then use Play, Stop, Pause, Menu.
  3. Control Audio System: Press AUDIO button, then use Volume, Mute, Source.
  4. Control Cable/Satellite: Press CABLE button, then use Guide, numeric keys.
  5. Macro (if supported): Program sequence (e.g., "Watch DVD") to one button.

Learning Function (Custom Keys)

Allows remote to learn commands from original remote (if supported).

  1. Place remotes head-to-head, 2-3 cm apart.
  2. Press and hold LEARN button (if present) until LED lights.
  3. On RMT-B119C, press key you want to program (e.g., a unused button).
  4. On original remote, press key with command to learn (point at RMT-B119C).
  5. LED blinks, then stays on if successful.
  6. Repeat for other keys; press LEARN again to exit.

Limitations: Cannot learn all commands (e.g., power on/off may not be learnable). Maximum 10 learned commands.

Care & Maintenance
