Initial Setup & Battery Installation

Prepare remote for first use by installing batteries.

  1. Turn remote over and locate battery compartment cover.
  2. Slide cover in direction of arrow to open.
  3. Insert two AA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Replace cover securely until it clicks into place.
  5. Press any button to activate remote; LCD should illuminate.

CAUTION! Use only recommended battery types. Do not mix old and new batteries.

Programming the Remote

Three methods to program: Auto Code Search, Direct Code Entry, Learning Function.

  1. Auto Code Search: Press and hold device button until LED blinks twice, then press POWER repeatedly until device turns off, press ENTER to save.
  2. Direct Code Entry: Find code in code list, press and hold device button, enter 4-digit code, release button.
  3. Learning Function: Place original remote head-to-head with RMT-B128P, press LEARN button, then press button to learn, aim original remote and press desired button, confirm learning with test.

Tip: Keep original remote for learning function and troubleshooting.

Advanced Functions

Backlight: Press LIGHT button to illuminate keys for 5 seconds.

Device Lock: Press and hold device button for 3 seconds to lock/unlock that device mode.

Factory Reset: Press reset button with paperclip for 5 seconds to restore default settings.

Power Control: Configure power on/off behavior for each device in setup menu.

Macro Programming

Create sequences of commands for one-touch operation.

  1. Press and hold MACRO button until LED flashes.
  2. Press macro button (M1, M2, or M3) to assign.
  3. Press device buttons in desired sequence (e.g., TV POWER, CABLE POWER, DVD POWER).
  4. Press MACRO again to save sequence.
  5. Test by pressing assigned macro button.

NOTE: Maximum 10 commands per macro. Delay between commands can be adjusted.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with dry, soft cloth. Avoid liquids and abrasive cleaners.

Store in cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Replace batteries when performance decreases or LCD dims.

WARNING! Do not disassemble remote. No user-serviceable parts inside.
