WARNING! Keep batteries away from children. If batteries are pre-installed, remove plastic insulator tab before use.

Initial Setup

Prepare remote for first use.

  1. Insert batteries: Open battery compartment, insert two AA batteries observing correct polarity.
  2. Remove insulator: If present, pull plastic tab from battery compartment.
  3. Test remote: Point at device, press POWER to check infrared transmission.
  4. Program device codes: Follow programming section for your specific equipment.

CAUTION! Do not mix old and new batteries. Use only recommended battery types.

Programming the Remote

Three methods: Auto code search, direct code entry, learning function.

  1. Auto Code Search:
    • Turn on device to be controlled
    • Press and hold device button (e.g., TV) until indicator light stays on
    • Press POWER repeatedly until device turns off
    • Press ENTER to save code
  2. Direct Code Entry:
    • Find code for your device in code list
    • Press and hold device button until light stays on
    • Enter 4-digit code using number pad
    • Light flashes twice to confirm
  3. Test remote functions with programmed device

Tip: Keep original remote for learning function and backup.

Using Macro Functions

Macros automate multiple commands with single button press.

  1. Enter macro programming: Press and hold MACRO button for 3 seconds until light flashes.
  2. Record sequence: Press buttons in desired order (e.g., TV POWER, DVD POWER, INPUT HDMI1).
  3. End recording: Press MACRO button again.
  4. Assign macro: Press any programmable button (M1-M4) to store sequence.
  5. Execute macro: Press assigned button to run entire sequence.

WARNING! Maximum macro length is 20 commands. Point remote at devices during recording.

Learning Function

Learn commands from original remotes (if supported by model).

  1. Place remotes face-to-face, 2-3 cm apart
  2. Press LEARN button on RMT-D102 until light illuminates
  3. Press button to be programmed on RMT-D102
  4. Press corresponding button on original remote
  5. Light flashes to confirm learning
  6. Repeat for additional buttons
  7. Press LEARN to exit learning mode

Note: Some commands may not be learnable due to special encoding.

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when remote becomes unresponsive or indicator light dims.

  1. Slide open battery compartment cover
  2. Remove old batteries observing polarity
  3. Insert two new AA batteries, positive (+) end first
  4. Close compartment cover until it clicks
  5. Test remote operation

CAUTION! Dispose of batteries properly. Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
