Initial Setup

Prepare remote for first use.

  1. Install batteries: Open battery compartment, insert 2 AAA batteries observing polarity.

Programming the Remote

Three methods to program devices: Auto Search, Direct Code Entry, Learning.

  1. Auto Search Method:
    • Press and hold SETUP until LED lights
    • Press device button (e.g., TV)
    • Press POWER repeatedly until device turns off
    • Press ENTER to store code
  2. Direct Code Entry:
    • Find code for your device in code list
    • Press and hold SETUP until LED lights
    • Enter 3-digit code using numeric keypad
    • LED flashes twice to confirm
  3. Learning Method: (See Section 8)

Tip: Test all functions after programming. Some codes may control basic functions only.

Learning Functions

Teach remote commands from original remote controls.

  1. Place remotes 2-3 cm apart, facing each other
  2. Press and hold LEARN button (if separate) or SETUP + device button
  3. Press button on RMT-D104A you want to program
  4. Press corresponding button on original remote
  5. LED flashes to confirm learning
  6. Repeat for additional buttons
  7. Press SETUP to exit learning mode

Note: Some advanced functions (like macros on original remote) may not be learnable.

Macro Programming

Create command sequences for complex operations.

  1. Press and hold MACRO button (or SETUP + 0)
  2. Press macro number (1-4) to program
  3. Press sequence of buttons (up to 16 commands)
  4. Press MACRO again to end recording
  5. Test macro by pressing macro number

Example Macro: Turn on TV → Switch to HDMI 1 → Turn on Sound System → Set volume to 20

WARNING! Allow 0.5-second delay between commands in sequence for reliable operation.
