Initial Setup & Battery Installation

Prepare remote for first use by installing batteries.

  1. Turn remote over and locate battery compartment on back.
  2. Slide cover in direction of arrow to open.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Replace cover until it clicks into place.
  5. Test remote by pointing at device and pressing any button.

CAUTION! Use only AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types.

Programming the Remote

Two methods: Auto code search and direct code entry.

  1. Turn on device to be controlled (TV, DVD player, etc.).
  2. Press and hold corresponding DEVICE button (TV, DVD, etc.) for 3 seconds until LED blinks twice.
  3. Enter 3-digit code from compatibility list (e.g., 001 for Sony TV).
  4. LED blinks twice if code accepted. Test remote functions.
  5. If not working, repeat with next code from list.

Tip: Keep original remote handy during programming for testing.

Controlling Multiple Devices

Remote can control up to 5 different devices.

  1. Program each device type using its respective button (TV, DVD, AUDIO, etc.).
  2. Select device by pressing its button before sending commands.
  3. LED indicator flashes to confirm device selection.
  4. Use SYSTEM POWER to turn on/off all programmed devices simultaneously.
  5. For input switching, use INPUT button while in TV mode.

WARNING! Ensure devices are within line of sight and not blocked by obstacles.

Advanced Functions

Code Learning: Program custom commands from other remotes. Press LEARN, point original remote at RMT-D113A, press button to learn, then press corresponding button on Sony remote. Repeat for each function.

Macro Programming: Record sequence of commands for one-touch operation. Press and hold MACRO button, press sequence of buttons, press MACRO again to save. Assign to any button for quick access.
