Initial Setup & Battery Installation

Install batteries before first use.

  1. Turn the remote over and locate the battery compartment cover on the back.
  2. Slide the cover in the direction of the arrow to open.
  3. Insert two AAA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/- markings).
  4. Replace the cover by sliding it back until it clicks into place.
  5. Point the remote at your Sony device and test basic functions (Power, Volume).

WARNING! Use only recommended battery types. Do not mix old and new batteries or different chemistries. Remove batteries if not using for extended periods to prevent leakage.

Programming for Sony Devices

To control a Sony device using pre-set codes:

  1. Turn on the device you wish to control.

  3. While the LED is lit, enter the 3-digit code for your specific Sony model (refer to the code list in the appendix or Quick Start Guide).
  4. The LED will blink twice to confirm successful programming.
  5. Test the remote by pressing POWER, VOLUME, or other functions.

Tip: If the first code doesn’t work, try other codes for your device type from the list.

Learning Function (For Non-Sony Devices)

The remote can learn commands from another remote control.

  1. Place both remotes facing each other, 2-5 cm apart.
  2. Press and hold the LEARNING button on the RMT-D123P until the LED lights steadily.
  3. On the RMT-D123P, press the button you want to program (e.g., VOLUME UP).
  4. Immediately press and hold the corresponding button on the original remote until the RMT-D123P’s LED blinks rapidly, then turns off.
  5. Repeat for other buttons as needed (max 10 learned commands).
  6. Press LEARNING again to exit programming mode.

CAUTION! Ensure stable lighting; avoid direct sunlight or strong IR interference during learning.

Care & Maintenance

Keep the remote clean and handle with care.
