Initial Setup & Battery Installation

Prepare the remote for first use by installing batteries and selecting the device mode.

  1. Open battery compartment on rear.
  2. Insert two AA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close compartment securely.
  4. Press any button to activate; backlight may illuminate briefly.

WARNING! Use only recommended battery types. Do not mix old and new batteries. Remove batteries if not using for extended periods.

Programming the Remote

Program the remote to control your devices using auto-search or direct code entry.

  1. Turn on the device you want to control (e.g., TV).
  2. Press and hold the corresponding device button (TV, DVD, etc.) until indicator light stays on.
  3. Enter the 3-digit code for your brand (see code list in manual).
  4. Point remote at device and press POWER; if device turns off, press ENTER to save.
  5. For auto-search: Hold device button until light stays on, then press CH+ repeatedly until device turns off, then press ENTER.

Tip: Test volume and channel controls after programming to ensure full functionality.

Learning Function

  1. Place both remotes facing each other, 2-5 cm apart.
  2. Press and hold LEARN button until indicator flashes twice.
  3. Press device button (e.g., TV) you want to assign learned command to.
  4. Press the key on RMT-D128P you wish to program (e.g., VOL+).
  5. Press and hold corresponding button on original remote until RMT-D128P light flashes twice.
  6. Repeat for additional keys; press LEARN to exit.

Note: Some proprietary functions may not be learnable. Ensure original remote is IR type.

Macro Programming

Program a sequence of commands to execute with one button press (e.g., "Watch DVD" turns on TV, DVD player, and switches input).

  1. Press and hold MACRO button until indicator flashes.
  2. Press the device button where you want to store macro (e.g., DVD).
  3. Press the key you wish to assign as macro trigger (e.g., PLAY).
  4. Press the sequence of remote buttons you want in macro (max 10 steps).
  5. Press MACRO again to save; indicator flashes twice.
  6. Test by pressing the assigned macro key.

Tip: Insert 1-second delays between steps for reliable execution by adding PAUSE button in sequence.

Advanced Features

Device Lock: Hold device button + CLEAR for 3 seconds to lock/unlock accidental key presses. Factory Reset: Press and hold TV + DVD + POWER for 5 seconds to clear all programming. Code Search: Use auto-search method if code unknown.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with dry, soft cloth. Avoid liquids, extreme temperatures, and humidity. Replace batteries when backlight dims or range decreases.
