Battery Installation

Install batteries before first use.

  1. Slide the battery cover on the back of the remote to open.
  2. Insert two AAA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Replace the battery cover and slide until it clicks into place.

WARNING! Use only AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if remote will not be used for an extended period.

Remote Control Layout

Top Section: Power (TV, DVD, AUDIO, etc.), Device Selectors (TV, DVD, AUDIO, CABLE/SAT, AUX).

Setup & Programming

Program the remote to control your Sony devices.

  1. Turn on the device you want to control (e.g., TV).
  2. Press and hold the corresponding device button (e.g., TV) for 3 seconds until the LED blinks twice.
  3. Enter the 3-digit code for your device (see Code List section). The LED blinks twice if successful.
  4. Point the remote at the device and test basic functions (Power, Volume).
  5. Repeat for each device you wish to control.

Auto Code Search: If code is unknown, use auto search: Hold device button until LED stays on, then press POWER repeatedly until device turns off, then press ENTER to store.

Operating Your Devices

After programming, use the remote normally.

  1. Select Device: Press the button for the device you want to control (TV, DVD, etc.). The remote will send commands to that device.
  2. Basic Control: Use Power, Volume, Channel, Mute, Navigation, and Menu buttons.
  3. Transport Controls: When DVD/AUDIO is selected, use Play, Pause, Stop, FF, REW, Skip.
  4. Input Selection: Press INPUT to cycle through sources on your TV or AV receiver.

Tip: Point the remote directly at the infrared sensor on your device for best results.
