  3. Two AAA alkaline batteries (may be included separately).

NOTE: Some packaging may not include batteries. Please have two AAA batteries ready for setup.

First-Time Setup & Programming

To use the remote, first install batteries and program it for your device.

  1. Install Batteries: Slide open the battery cover on the back. Insert two AAA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover.
  2. Basic Programming (Auto Code Search):
    • Turn on the device (e.g., TV) you wish to control.
    • Press and hold the corresponding device button (e.g., TV) and the POWER button simultaneously until the remote's indicator light turns on.
    • Release both buttons. Point the remote at the device and repeatedly press the POWER button. The remote will cycle through codes.
    • Stop pressing when the device turns off. Press the OK/SELECT button to store the code.
  3. Manual Code Entry: Refer to the code list in the appendix. Press and hold the device button, enter the 3-digit code, release. The indicator light should blink twice.
  4. Test Operation: Point the remote at the device and test basic functions like POWER, VOLUME, and CHANNEL.

CAUTION! Use only AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new or different types of batteries.

Top Section: POWER, Device Selectors (TV, VIDEO, DVD, AUX).

Operating Your Devices

Select the device mode first, then use the corresponding buttons.

  1. Controlling a TV: Press the TV button. Use POWER, numeric keys, CHANNEL/VOLUME, INPUT/SOURCE, and MENU for settings.
  2. Controlling a DVD/Blu-ray Player: Press the DVD button. Use POWER, OPEN/CLOSE, transport controls (PLAY, STOP, etc.), numeric keys for chapters, MENU for disc menus.
  3. Controlling an Audio System: Press the AUX button. Use POWER, VOLUME, MUTE, and possibly MODE or INPUT if supported by the code.
  4. Switching Between Devices: Simply press the desired device button (TV, DVD, etc.) to change the remote's active control mode.

Tip: Ensure you are pointing the remote directly at the infrared sensor on your device for reliable operation.

Programming Advanced Functions

Some functions may require learning or macro programming (if supported).

  1. Learning Function (if applicable): This model may not have a learning function. For custom codes, use the code search method.
  2. Macro Programming (for multiple actions):
    • Press and hold the MACRO (or desired device) button for 3 seconds until the indicator lights.
    • Press the sequence of buttons you want to program (e.g., TV POWER, wait 2 secs, DVD POWER).
    • Press the MACRO button again to save. Now, pressing the MACRO button will execute the sequence.
  3. Resetting the Remote: To clear all programming and restore factory defaults, remove batteries, press and hold the POWER button for 10 seconds, then reinsert batteries.

NOTE: Macro functionality may be limited. Consult the advanced guide for specific codes.

Battery Information

Use two AAA alkaline batteries.

  1. Replace batteries when operation becomes erratic or range decreases significantly.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover on the rear.
  3. Remove old batteries and insert new ones, matching the + and - symbols.
  4. Close the cover securely.

WARNING! Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Do not mix battery types (alkaline, carbon-zinc, or rechargeable). Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for an extended period.

Care & Maintenance

Wipe the remote with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use solvents.

CAUTION! Avoid excessive moisture, heat, direct sunlight, and physical impact. Keep away from small children to prevent swallowing of batteries.
