Battery Installation

Install batteries before first use.

  1. Slide open the battery compartment cover on the back.
  2. Insert two AAA batteries, observing correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the cover securely.

WARNING! Do not mix old and new batteries or different types. Remove batteries if not using for extended periods.

Device Setup & Code Entry

To program the remote for your device:

  1. Turn on the device you want to control (e.g., TV).
  2. Press and hold the corresponding device button (e.g., TV) until the indicator light stays on.
  3. Enter the 3-digit code for your device brand from the provided code list.
  4. The indicator light will blink twice if the code is accepted.
  5. Point the remote at the device and press POWER to test. If the device turns off, setup is complete.
  6. If not, repeat steps 2-5 with another code for your brand.

Auto Search Method: If codes are unknown, use auto search: Hold device button until light stays on, then press and hold POWER while pointing at device. Release POWER when device turns off.

Button Layout & Functions

Top Section: POWER, Device buttons (TV, DVD, AUDIO, etc.). Center: Navigation pad (Up/Down/Left/Right, OK/ENTER). Lower Section: Numeric keypad (0-9), Volume (+/-), Channel (+/-), MUTE, MENU, GUIDE, EXIT, INFO, RETURN, OPTIONS.

Special Functions: Press and hold a device button to enter programming mode. Press SHIFT or FUNCTION (if present) to access secondary commands.

Controlling Your TV

  1. Press the TV button to select TV mode.
  2. Use POWER to turn TV on/off.
  3. Use numeric buttons to enter channel numbers.
  4. Use CH+/- to change channels.
  5. Use VOL+/- to adjust volume; MUTE to silence.
  6. Use MENU to access TV settings; navigation pad to browse.
  7. Use INPUT or SOURCE to switch between video inputs.

Tip: Ensure you are within range and pointing the remote at the TV's IR sensor.

Controlling Other Devices

For DVD/Blu-ray, Audio System, Cable/Satellite Box:

  1. Press corresponding device button (DVD, AUDIO, etc.).
  2. Use standard transport controls: PLAY, PAUSE, STOP, SKIP (PREV/NEXT).
  3. For audio systems: VOLUME, MUTE, input selection.
  4. For set-top boxes: GUIDE, MENU, navigation, numeric keys.

Note: Some advanced functions may require original remote. Refer to device manual for specific operations.

Resetting the Remote

To clear all programming and restore factory defaults:

  1. Remove batteries.
  2. Press and hold the POWER button for 5 seconds.
  3. Reinsert batteries while still holding POWER.
  4. Release POWER. All programmed codes are cleared.

Alternatively, some models reset by pressing and holding TV and DVD buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until indicator blinks.

Care & Maintenance

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the remote. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.
