Initial Setup & Battery Installation

Prepare remote for first use.

  1. Open battery compartment: Slide cover on back of remote.
  2. Insert batteries: Place two AAA batteries observing correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close compartment: Secure cover until it clicks.
  4. Test remote: Point at device and press POWER for selected mode (e.g., TV).

CAUTION! Use only AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new or different types of batteries.

Device Setup & Code Entry

Program remote to control your devices.

  1. Turn on the device you want to control (e.g., TV).
  2. Press and hold SETUP button until mode button (e.g., TV) blinks twice.
  3. Enter 3-digit code from code list for your brand/model.
  4. Point remote at device and press POWER. If device turns off, press ENTER to save.
  5. If code doesn't work, repeat with next code or use Auto Search (press CH+ repeatedly until device turns off).

Tip: Have device model number ready. Refer to included code booklet.

Learning Function

Teach remote commands from another remote.

  1. Place both remotes facing each other, 2-3 cm apart.
  2. Press and hold LEARN button on RMT-D185A until indicator lights.
  3. Press device mode button (e.g., DVD) you want to program.
  4. Press button on RMT-D185A you want to teach (e.g., EJECT).
  5. Press and hold corresponding button on original remote until RMT-D185A beeps.
  6. Repeat for other buttons. Press LEARN to exit.

WARNING! Do not move remotes during learning. Works only with IR remotes, not RF.

Macro Programming

Program sequence of commands to single button.

  1. Press and hold MACRO 1 (or MACRO 2) until indicator flashes.
  2. Press device mode buttons and commands in sequence (e.g., TV POWER, INPUT, DVD POWER).
  3. Wait 1 second between commands.
  4. Press MACRO 1 again to save sequence.
  5. Test: Press MACRO 1 to execute entire sequence.

Note: Maximum 10 commands per macro. Point remote at devices during execution.

Care & Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when LCD dims or remote becomes unresponsive.

  1. Open battery compartment.
  2. Remove old batteries and dispose properly.
  3. Insert new AAA batteries with correct polarity.
  4. Close compartment.

Cleaning: Wipe with dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.

CAUTION! Remove batteries if remote will not be used for extended period.
