WARNING! Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types. Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.

Initial Setup & Device Programming

To program the remote to control your device (e.g., a TV):

  1. Turn on the device you want to control (e.g., your TV).
  2. On the remote, press and hold the corresponding device button (e.g., TV) until the indicator light stays on.
  3. While the light is on, enter the 3-digit or 4-digit manufacturer code for your device (see code list in manual appendix). The light will blink twice if the code is accepted.
  4. Aim the remote at the device and press the POWER button. The device should turn off. If it does not, repeat steps 2-3 with another code from the list.

Tip: Have your device's model number ready to find the correct code quickly.

Basic Operation

  1. Select a Device: Press the button (TV, DVD, etc.) for the device you want to control. The remote will send signals to that device until you press another device button.
  2. Control Functions: Use the standard buttons (Volume, Channel, Navigation, Play, etc.) as you would with the original remote.
  3. Volume Lock (TV Mode): Some setups allow the TV volume button to control an external audio system. Refer to your audio system's manual for A/V sync setup details.

Advanced Programming (Code Search)

Use this method if you do not know the manufacturer code:

  1. Turn on the device you want to control.
  2. Press and hold the desired device button (e.g., TV) and the POWER button simultaneously until the indicator light stays on.
  3. Press the POWER button repeatedly, pausing a second between presses, until the device turns off.
  4. Once the device turns off, immediately press the OK/SELECT button to store the code. The indicator light will blink twice.
  5. Test other functions (Volume, Mute) to confirm programming is complete.

Resetting the Remote

To clear all programmed settings and restore factory defaults:

  1. Press and hold the TV button and 1 button simultaneously for about 5 seconds. The indicator light will blink several times.
  2. Release the buttons. All previous programming for all device modes is now erased.
  3. You must reprogram the remote for each device you wish to control.

CAUTION! This action cannot be undone. Only perform a reset if necessary.

Care & Maintenance

CAUTION! Do not disassemble the remote. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
