Initial Setup

Programming the Remote

Two methods: Auto-search and direct code entry.

  3. Enter 3-digit code from provided code list (e.g., 001 for Sony TV).
  4. Indicator blinks twice if successful; test remote functions.
  5. If code fails, try auto-search: Hold SETUP, then press POWER repeatedly until device turns off, then press SETUP to save.

Tip: Keep original remote for reference during programming.

Using Macros

Macros automate multi-step operations across devices.

  1. Record Macro: Press and hold MACRO button for 3 seconds until LED flashes.
  2. Press device button (e.g., TV), then sequence of commands (e.g., POWER, INPUT, HDMI1).
  3. Press MACRO again to stop recording; LED turns off.
  4. Assign Macro: Press MACRO, then press one of the colored buttons (RED/GREEN/YELLOW/BLUE) to store.
  5. Execute Macro: Press the assigned colored button to run the sequence.

WARNING! Ensure devices are within line-of-sight during macro recording and playback.

Learning Function

Learn commands from other infrared remotes.

  1. Place remotes head-to-head, about 2-3 cm apart.
  2. Press LEARN on Sony remote; LED lights steadily.
  3. Press and hold the desired button on Sony remote, then press corresponding button on original remote.
  4. LED flashes rapidly upon successful learning, then returns to steady light for next command.
  5. Press LEARN to exit learning mode.

Note: Some proprietary or RF commands cannot be learned. Maximum 20 learned commands.

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when remote becomes unresponsive or LED dims.

  1. Slide open battery cover on rear.
  2. Remove old batteries and dispose properly.
  3. Insert two new AA batteries, observing +/- polarity.
  4. Close cover securely.

CAUTION! Do not mix alkaline, standard, or rechargeable batteries. Remove batteries if remote will not be used for extended periods.
