Basic Operations

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface near TV.

  1. Connect to TV: Use RF cable or AV cables (preferred for better quality).

Recording & Playback

  1. Recording: Insert recordable tape. Select channel or AV input. Press REC (and PLAY simultaneously on some models).
  2. Playback: Insert tape. Press PLAY. Use REW/FF to navigate. Press STOP to end.
  3. Pause: Press PAUSE during playback or recording (recording pause may leave glitch).
  4. Index Search: Some models support searching for index marks recorded on tape.
  5. Tracking: Adjust TRACKING +/- if picture appears noisy during playback.

WARNING! Do not eject tape while in PLAY or REC mode. Always stop first.

Timer Programming

Allows automatic recording of TV programs.

  1. Ensure clock is set correctly.
  2. Press TIMER on remote to enter timer programming menu.
  3. Set Start Time, End Time, Channel, Date, and Recording Speed (SP/LP).

Care & Maintenance
