Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Connect to TV: Use RF cable (included) or AV cables for better quality.
  2. Connect audio: Use RCA cables for stereo sound to TV or audio system.
  3. Connect antenna/cable: Pass through from VCR to TV for watching other channels while recording.
  4. Plug into AC power (220-240V, 50Hz).

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block ventilation openings. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Connect power and turn on VCR; follow initial setup procedure.

  1. Set clock: Press CLOCK SET on remote, enter current time and date.

  1. Turn off all devices before connecting.
  2. For best quality, use AV cables instead of RF connection.
  3. Connect camcorder to front inputs for easy dubbing.
  4. Set TV to correct input channel (usually CH 0 or AV input).

Tip: Use S-Video connection if your TV supports it for better picture quality during playback.

Recording & Playback

Supports standard VHS recording and playback in SP, LP, EP modes.

  1. Insert tape: Press EJECT, insert tape label side up.
  2. Record: Press REC (and PLAY simultaneously for some models).
  3. Timer recording: Program in advance using timer menu.
  4. Playback: Press PLAY; use shuttle/jog for precise control.
  5. Search functions: Index search, tape counter search, blank search.

WARNING! Do not expose tapes to magnets, heat, or moisture. Always rewind tapes before storage.

Timer & Programming

Program up to 8 recordings over 1-year period.

  1. Access timer menu: Press TIMER on remote.
  2. Select program number (1-8).
  3. Set start/end time and date.
  4. Select channel and recording speed (SP/LP/EP).
  5. Activate program; ensure VCR is in standby mode.
  6. One-touch recording (OTR): Instant timer recording from 30 min to 8 hours.

Note: Clock must be set correctly for timer to function. Power interruption may require resetting clock.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning. Clean exterior with dry, soft cloth.

  1. Video heads: Use approved VCR head cleaning cassette every 50 hours of use.
  2. Capstan/pinch roller: Clean with cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol.
  3. Tape path: Remove dust with soft brush.
  4. Exterior: Wipe with damp cloth, then dry immediately.

CAUTION! Never use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Do not attempt to clean video heads manually without proper tools.
