Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, well-ventilated surface.

  1. Connect to TV: Use RF cable (included) from VCR RF OUT to TV antenna input.
  2. For better quality: Connect AUDIO/VIDEO outputs from VCR to corresponding TV inputs.
  3. Connect antenna/cable: Attach cable/antenna lead to VCR RF IN.
  4. Plug power cord into AC outlet.

First-Time Setup

Power on VCR and TV; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Set clock: Press MENU, navigate to CLOCK SET, enter current time and date.
  2. Program channels: Use AUTO PROGRAM in menu to scan and store available channels.
  3. Select output channel: Set VCR's RF output to channel 3 or 4 (match TV input).

Recording & Playback

  1. Insert tape: Press EJECT, insert tape label side up.
  2. Record: Select channel, press REC (add PAUSE for delayed start).
  3. Playback: Press PLAY; use FF/REW for navigation.
  4. Special functions: PAUSE for still frame, SLOW for slow motion.
  5. Index search: Press INDEX during playback to mark locations.
  6. Shuttle/jog: Rotate dial for variable speed search.
  7. Audio select: Choose Hi-Fi or linear audio track.

WARNING! Do not expose tapes to magnets, heat, or moisture.

Timer Programming

Program up to 8 recordings over 1 month.

  1. Press TIMER on remote.
  2. Select program number (1-8).
  3. Set start/stop time, date, channel, speed (SP/LP/EP).
  4. Press ENTER to save.
  5. Ensure clock is set correctly and tape is inserted.

Note: Timer recording requires VCR to be in standby mode.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning. Clean exterior with dry cloth.

Auto head cleaning: Occurs automatically during tape insertion.
