Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface.

  1. Connect to TV: Use RF coaxial cable or A/V cables (composite video + stereo audio).
  2. Connect antenna/cable: Attach cable/antenna to VCR RF IN connector.
  3. Connect to TV RF input: Use RF cable from VCR RF OUT to TV antenna input.
  4. Plug into AC power outlet.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block vents. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Power on VCR; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Set clock: Press MENU, navigate to CLOCK SET, enter current time and date.

Playing and Recording

Supports standard VHS tapes in SP, LP, EP modes.

  1. Insert tape: Press EJECT, insert tape label side up, push gently to close.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; adjust tracking if picture unstable.
  3. Record: Press REC + PLAY simultaneously; select channel first.
  4. Pause: Press PAUSE during play or record.
  5. Search: Use FF/REW or shuttle dial for visual search.
  6. Index search: Press INDEX to mark locations; use INDEX SEARCH to find.
  7. Audio dub: Press AUDIO DUB during pause to record new audio.
  8. Slow motion: Press SLOW during play.

WARNING! Do not expose tapes to magnets. Remove tape before moving VCR.

Timer Programming

Program up to 8 recording events.

  1. Press TIMER REC on remote.
  2. Select program number.
  3. Set start/stop time, date, channel, tape speed.
  4. Ensure tape is inserted with record tab intact.
  5. VCR will automatically power on/off for recording.

Note: Clock must be set accurately for timer to work.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Clean exterior with dry cloth. Use head cleaning tape as needed (do not overuse).

CAUTION! Never use liquid cleaners inside VCR. Do not attempt to clean video heads manually.
