Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface near TV.

  1. Connect to TV: Use RF cable (included) from VCR's RF OUT to TV's antenna input.
  2. Connect antenna or cable: Attach cable/antenna to VCR's RF IN connector.
  3. Connect audio/video: For better quality, use RCA cables from VCR's AUDIO/VIDEO OUT to TV's corresponding inputs.

First-Time Setup

  3. Select input source on VCR (TUNER, LINE, FRONT) for recording.
  4. Set TV to correct input channel (Channel 3/4 or AV input).

Tip: Use AV connections for better picture and sound quality than RF.

Playing and Recording Tapes

Supports VHS tapes in SP and LP modes.

  1. Insert tape: Press EJECT, insert tape label side up, push gently to close.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; adjust tracking if picture unstable.
  3. Record: Select source (TUNER or LINE), insert blank tape, press REC (and PLAY for some models).
  4. One-Touch Recording: Press OTR for 30-min, 60-min, 90-min, or 120-min recording.
  5. Pause: Press PAUSE during recording to skip commercials.
  6. Stop: Press STOP; VCR may auto-rewind depending on setting.
  7. Fast Search: Use REW or FF during playback to locate scenes.
  8. Index Search: Press INDEX at desired scene; use SEARCH to find later.

WARNING! Do not force tape insertion/ejection. Keep magnets away from tapes.

Timer Recording

Program up to 8 recording events.

  1. Press TIMER REC on remote.
  2. Select program number (1-8).
  3. Set start/end time, date, channel, and speed (SP/LP).
  4. Ensure clock is set correctly and VCR is in standby mode at programmed time.
  5. Insert tape with record safety tab intact.

Note: Timer recording requires continuous power; use uninterrupted power outlet.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning. Clean exterior with dry, soft cloth.

Auto Head Cleaning: Automatic during operation; manual cleaning not recommended unless problems occur.
