Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, ventilated surface.

  1. Connect to TV: Use RF cable (included) from VCR's RF OUT to TV's ANT IN.
  2. For better quality: Connect AUDIO/VIDEO cables (red/white/yellow) from VCR's A/V OUT to TV's A/V IN.
  3. Connect antenna/cable: Attach cable from wall to VCR's RF IN.
  4. Plug power cord into AC outlet.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block vents. Keep away from heat sources.

First-Time Setup

Power on VCR and TV; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Set clock: Press MENU, navigate to CLOCK SET, enter current time and date.

Playing and Recording Tapes

  3. Record: Press REC (and PLAY for manual recording). Use OTR for instant recording (30min, 60min, 90min, 120min).
  4. Pause/Still: Press PAUSE during play or record; auto releases after 5 minutes.
  5. Search: Use INDEX SEARCH to find indexed scenes; BLANK SEARCH finds unrecorded sections.
  6. Speed: Select SP (best quality), LP, or EP (longest recording) before recording.

WARNING! Do not expose tapes to magnets, heat, or dust. Keep in cases.

Timer and Programming Features

Program up to 8 recordings over one month.

  1. Press TIMER on remote.
  2. Select program number (1-8).
  3. Set start/stop time, date, channel, tape speed.
  4. Ensure tape is inserted and record tab intact.
  5. VCR will automatically turn on/off and record.

Note: Clock must be set accurately. Power outage may require reset.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug before cleaning. Clean exterior with dry cloth. Use head cleaning cassette every 50 hours of use. Do not use solvents.

CAUTION! Auto head cleaning occurs on tape insertion; manual cleaning only with approved cassette.
