Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable, level surface with adequate ventilation.

  1. Connect to display: Use high-speed HDMI cable from HDMI OUT (MAIN) to 4K TV.
  2. Connect to audio system: Use HDMI OUT (SUB) or optical cable for audio.
  3. Connect to network: Use Ethernet cable or configure Wi-Fi during setup.
  4. Connect power cord to AC outlet.

WARNING! Ensure proper ventilation; do not block vents. Use certified high-speed HDMI cables for 4K/HDR content.

First-Time Setup

Power on player; follow on-screen setup wizard.

  1. Select language: Choose preferred menu language (default ENGLISH).

Controls and Settings

Settings Categories: Network, Playback Settings, Display, Audio, System, External Input. Key settings: 4K Upscaling (On/Off), HDR Mode, Deep Color Output, HDMI Link (BRAVIA Sync), Quick Start Mode, Parental Control (default password 0000).

Connecting Devices

TV: HDMI to HDMI IN on TV. Audio System: HDMI to AV receiver or optical cable. Network: Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

  1. Turn off all devices before connecting cables.
  2. Use high-quality HDMI cables rated for 18Gbps.
  3. Select input on TV corresponding to HDMI port used.
  4. Enable HDMI-CEC (BRAVIA Sync) for single remote control.

Tip: For best 4K HDR performance, enable Enhanced HDMI format on your TV's HDMI port.

Playing Media

Supports 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, CD, SACD, USB media.

  1. Insert disc: Press OPEN/CLOSE, place disc label-up in tray.
  2. Play: Press PLAY; use directional pad for menu navigation.
  3. Special functions: Press OPTIONS for scene search, audio/subtitle selection, picture adjustments.
  4. USB playback: Connect USB drive, select from HOME > USB.
  5. Resume playback: Player remembers last stopping point for most discs.
  6. Bookmark: Press BOOKMARK during playback to save position.

WARNING! Do not move player during disc playback. Handle discs by edges only.

Connect to internet for streaming services and firmware updates.

  1. From HOME, select Network Settings to configure connection.
  2. Access streaming apps from HOME screen or dedicated buttons.
  3. Sign in to services with your account credentials.
  4. Check for updates: Settings > System > System Update.

Supported formats for network/USB: MP4, MKV, AVI, MP3, FLAC, WAV, JPEG, MPO.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug power cord before cleaning. Use soft, dry cloth for exterior. For disc lens cleaning, use approved cleaning disc only.

CAUTION! Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. Avoid liquid contact with vents and ports.
